Hogan’s Community Connection Lunches

We recently enjoyed three Community Connection Lunches, where our in-office employees visited current job sites to have lunch with our on-site staff and tour the facilities.

Murray High School Addition

At Murray High School, Superintendent Carlos Landaverde showed us around the school’s new addition, which will house 9th graders and includes classrooms, science labs, mechanical rooms, and new administrative offices.

When asked what has been going well on the project so far, Carlos said, “Working with the subs, we have a good group,” and praised the masons for keeping things running smoothly and allowing the project to stay ahead of schedule.

Carbon County School District New Athletics Facility

Down in Carbon County, Project Superintendent Jon Pendray took us on a tour of the new Athletics Facility for the Carbon School District. The new center features turf, volleyball and basketball courts, a track, and a golf simulator for student practice.

When Jon was asked what his favorite part of working on this project was, he said, “Working with the school district, it’s been fun working through some of the design changes and obstacles that we’ve had.”

Clearfield High School Career Center

Finally, at the new Clearfield High School Career Center, Jeff Wilson, project superintendent, showed us around the school’s new addition. The re-imagined project is one of Davis School District’s top-of-the-line CTE facilities and features various career spaces, including a welding, automotive, manufacturing, and engineering composites shop, a culinary arts lab, a photography studio, an agricultural space with a greenhouse, a computer science lab, and a CNA lab with hospital beds.

As a self-proclaimed “shop nerd,” Jeff said, “It’s been a fun project to work on; I fell in love immediately. The whole job has been the highlight, I’m really proud of it.”
